Susan Langley Banta - copper shaman
Albuquerque artist Susan Banta fashions her shaman figures from copper. By applying various heating temperatures to the copper, she is able to create a wide array of colors and patterns in the metal. She etches designs on the figures and adds stone accents for the finishing touch. These pieces can be either free-standing or hung on a wall. No two are alike. Susan's intriguing shaman figures adorn homes across the country.
Susan learned her craft from Karen Bruggeman who has since passed the business on to Susan.
